LORDS Meadow Leisure Centre in Crediton will be holding a Zest for Life Open Day on Saturday, July 13, starting at 10am.

Following recent refurbishment and energy efficiency upgrading to the centre, leisure centre staff are encouraging everyone within the community to go along and see what has changed, what they offer and how your local community facility works.

Centre manager, Lee Chester, explained: "During the open day we will be offering free swimming to children in the all day family fun splash session, have free access to our "Shape It Up" and "Pump It Up" classes, have free access to a bouncy castle, soft play and climbing equipment and have stalls and attractions from other shops, clubs and organisations from within the town.

Lee added: "We will also be offering massive savings to anyone who signs up for a membership on the day, with the biggest saver getting 15 months for the price of nine – that's a whole six months for FREE!

"Other membership offers will be available on the day, so come along to find out more."

There will also be "behind the scenes" tours of the building for visitors to see how the swimming pool works and the process for water treatment and to look at the new energy saving investment, such as the Pool Sentry System, Air Management System and Biomass Boiler.
