THE Kirton and District Ladies Darts (KDLDL) 2012-2013 season ended with the finals and presentation night at Potters, Crediton, on June 21.
The winners of the league trophy were the Cross Hotel, Copplestone and the runners up were Mitre A, Crediton.
The Wooden Spoon was presented to Potters B, who were also presented with an outstanding contribution to KDLDL as some of the team have been playing for 40 years or more. They have decided to stand down as a team.
This year the Landladies Cup was won by Jill Conibear from the Rose and Crown and the Runner Up was Madeline Byrne from Crown and Sceptre.
Some excellent darts were played on the night, starting off with the Under 30's final with Becki Squires (Mitre A) narrowly beating Kat Howard (Mitre B) 3-2. Kat scored a 171 in this match.
On the other board the final of the Seniors Cup took place where Joan Grant (Potters B) saw off Di Perry (Newton St Cyres) in a closely contested game.
In the pairs Sandra Chamberlain and Helen Lygo (Cross Hotel) beat Stella Mears and Val Brewer (Red Lion Shobrooke).
The Captains' cup was won by Lisa Hughes (Kings) who beat Laura Suckley (Ship Hotel A) by 3 legs to 1.
Lisa Hughes (Kings) was straight back to the board for the Individuals final where she beat Helen Lygo (Cross Hotel) convincingly 3-0.
Also, a further congratulations from KDLDL to Lisa who made her Devon County darts debut earlier this year.
Sandra Chamberlain (Cross Hotel) won the consistency award by winning the most league games this season - she played 30 matches and only lost three games.
