MONDAY, March 14 saw Downes Crediton Golf Club Seniors play their annual Chris Horgan Trophy, an individual Stableford where competitors can only use three clubs and a putter.

Winning, and making light work of the reduced amount of clubs, was the in form Rick Eidam scoring a superb 42 points.

Rick also topped Division Two with Pip Lee (39pts) second and Mike Thurston (37pts) third.

Victory in Division One went to Duane Greenslade scoring a fine 37 points whilst Nick Walker posted 33 points to place second.

Anne Woodger was once again in fine form as she scored an impressive 37 points in the Ladies Three Mulligan Stableford on Thursday, March 17 to win overall and top Division One by five clear points from second placed Ying Wong (32pts).

Sue Bonner topped Division Two whilst Joe Coe was victorious in the nine-hole stableford.

Although a stiff easterly breeze blew across the course on Saturday, March 19, a number of Downes members played some impressive golf to post some fine scores.

The best of them all was John Dowling who put together a superb nett 64 to win and top Division Three.

Following in second was Graham Browne (nett65) with Downes Junior Liam Whittleston (nett70) third.

Stephen Yates continued his fine form to take victory in Division One scoring a nett 64 closely followed by Ken Bones (nett65) in second and Robin Abrahams (nett67) third.

Neil Ford dominated Division Two posting a nett 66, six points clear of second placed Peter Blinkhorn (nett72), whilst Katie Cornish was once again victorious in the Ladies Division scoring a nett 75.
