CREDITON'S Lords Meadow Leisure Centre opened its doors to showcase facilities and activities available to the whole community - where ability and age are no barriers.
A free Open Activity Afternoon was held at the leisure centre on Saturday, March, 21 and a new club, #inclusivecrediton was launched.
More than 100 people went along to enjoy some of the activities on offer.
These included Boccia, Table Tennis, Bowls, Trampolining, Aqua Swim, Seated Exercise, Yoga, Football, Taiko Drumming, Street Dance and Dance.
The new #inclusivecrediton Club will be starting in the summer.
#inclusive credition is a two-year collaborative initiative between Active Devon, Mid Devon Leisure, The Turning Tides Project, Living Options and Upstream that aims to create an inclusive environment through the provision of activities specifically for people with additional needs investing in the development of facilitators, trainers and staff involved.
All sessions attached to the #inclusivecredition project will cost £2.50 making it affordable and accessible to all.
A spokesperson for the leisure centre said: "The feedback was very positive and really very useful.
"We will be using it to inform our new #inclusivecrediton plans - people should check out the website for Turning tides, Mid Devon Leisure, Living Options and Active Devon and the notice board at the Leisure centre for more details."
