TINDLE Newspapers, which owns the "Crediton Courier" was pleased to support the Princes Countryside Fund Raceday at Ascot on November 23 and was particularly delighted to discover the owner of the winning horse of the Tindle Newspapers Novices Steeple Chase race - "Wenyerreadyfreddie" – came from the Allingeston Stud, from Spreyton.

Alastair Manson, Finance Director, Tindle Newspapers and Wendy Craig, Tindle Newspapers Vice Chairman and Executive Director, were honoured to be presented to HRH The Prince of Wales prior to his unveiling of a huge horse head sculpture situated near the parade ring.

The sculpture was a 70th birthday present to Prince Charles from Ascot racecourse.

Scott Wood, Group Operations Managing Director, Tindle Newspapers and Eddie Pearce, General Manager, "Farnham Herald" also attended and Eddie was pleased to present the trophy for the Tindle Newspapers Novices Steeple Chase to John Lightfoot from the Allingeston Stud.

Wendy Craig said that a wonderful day was enjoyed at the races.
