DOWNES Crediton Golf Club Seniors played a three man team two scores to count 3 clubs and a putter competition on Monday, December 3, which saw Jim Kenshole, Dave Vowden and Nick Bromell come out on top by scoring an impressive 80 points.

John Essery, John Cann and Cyril Dawes finished in second place, equalling the score of 80 points but losing on the better back nine whilst Mike Conder, Rick Eidam and Laurence Taylor finished third posting 75 points.

The Ladies played their annual Christmas nine hole stableford on Thursday, December 6 which was followed by their Christmas lunch.

In the golf Shirley Stunell finished in top spot shooting a brilliant score of 17 points. She was closely followed by Viv Bailey who also posted 17 points but lost on the back six holes. Di Parsons finished in third with a score of 16 points.

Saturday, December 8 saw the December Medal played and despite the horrible conditions it was Adrian Cram who stole the show with an amazing nett 64 to win the overall and Division Two prizes.

He was followed by David Bunclark who scored a fine nett 68 to finish second overall and second in Division Two.

In Division One, Jamie Wright took top spot with a nett 70 beating Maurice Curtis (nett 70) in second by virtue of a better back nine.

In Division Three, Stuart Phillips (nett 70) took top spot with Stewart Cowling finishing second with a nett 74.
