MONDAY, November 13 saw the Seniors at Downes Crediton Golf Club play a betterball stableford and winning with a superb 43 points were the duo of Alan Draper and Brian Kelly.

Mike Conder and Jim Kenshole also scored 43 points but finished second due to their back nine score whilst long-time leaders Graham Cox and Nick Bromell posted 42 points to eventually take third place.

In the ladies section on Thursday, November 16, Doreen Warren, Penny Long and June Mitchell came out on top in a 1-2-3 stableford scoring 58 points with Jo Coe, Lyn Parry and Annet Coles (55 pts) taking second place.

Saturday, November 18 saw a full field play in a three player team stableford, two scores to count, which was open to all sections of the club.

Alan Draper, who tasted victory on Monday, joined forces with grandad and grandson Frank Morrell and Josh Hill to score 82 points, 10 under par, to win by a single point and win the event for the second consecutive year.

Dave Sims, Neil Allport and Jim Dunlop posted 81 points to come a close second whilst Joe Hull, Simon Baker and Adrian Cram scored 80 points to take third place.
