THE pair of Chris Vercoe and Nick Bromell stole the show on Monday, February 4 in Downes Crediton Golf Club’s seniors four-ball better ball stableford competition with a fantastic score of 49 points to finish in top spot.

They were followed into second place by Gerry Hodder and Alan Willey who posted 45 points to beat Cedric Chapple and Roger Field (45 pts) into third place by virtue of a better back nine.

Fran Shrubsole, Betty Willey and Anne Woodger took victory in the Ladies Team Texas Scramble on Thursday, February 7 with a cracking score of nett 69.

The trio of Rebecca Aven, Rickie Pawsey and Doreen Warren finishing in second place posting a nett 72.

A packed field played in the 1-2-3 Team Stableford on Saturday, February 9 and it was the trio of Joe Hull, Simon Baker and Adrian Cram who took the win with a fantastic score of 81.

Gerry Tomlinson, Neil Bishop and James Hutchinson (81 pts) followed in second place while the team of Martin Sargent, Gerald Abdoll and Frank Sanders finished third posting 78 points.
