DOWNES Crediton Golf Club members and partners played in the very popular Christmas Mixed nine-hole Competition on Tuesday, December 13.

This was a fun day with everyone getting into the Christmas spirit playing in Santa hats and jumpers, followed by a delicious Christmas lunch.

Fifteen teams of three played a two scores to count stableford and the winners were Dave Jordan, June Mitchell and Trish Wallis with a fine 45 points.

Runners-up, with 42 points, were John Essery, Brian Mapledoram and Viv Jordan. In third place were Colin Wheatcroft, Fran Shrubsole and John Veale (39 points) with Lady Captain, Liz Mapson, Peter Stunnell and Brodie McIntyre in fourth place.
