It was a day filled with great sportsmanship and camaraderie, epitomising what sport can bring, as all players enjoyed the superb weather, playing conditions and hospitality afforded by the host club.

New friendships were forged, and at the end of the competition everybody left looking forward to next year’s renewal.

Nick Bromell, who came up with the idea and organised the day, has represented all four clubs at one level or another and has hopes of the event growing to involve more local sports clubs in the future.

Perhaps this event could be the catalyst for forming a Crediton Sports Clubs Association, as a vehicle to promote sport in the community more widely, recognise and reward achievement, and celebrate success beyond the individual member clubs.
