MONDAY, October 15 saw Downes Crediton Golf Club Seniors play a roll up stableford and it was Keith Blake who took top spot with a cracking score of 38 points to beat Nick Bromell who shot a score of 36 points to finish in second place.

James Downing finished in third place scoring 36 points but losing to a better back nine.

There was also the seniors medals winners played on Monday and David Cousins stole the show shooting an unbelievable nett 64 to win, while John Dean finished in second place with a nett 73.

Jason Arnold won the mid-week stableford on Wednesday, October 17 with a score of 32 points beating Neil Chard who also scored 32 points but lost to a better back nine.

Betty Willey finished in top spot in the ladies county stableford 12 on Thursday, October 18 with a score of 30 points as she also took the Division One top spot.

Ying Wong finished in second place with a score of 29 points. In Division Two Annet Coles took the win with a score of 28 points to beat Sue Bonner who scored 25 points.

The final of this year’s summer competitions was played on Saturday, October 20. The champions trophy competition is for all of the winners of competitions throughout the year so there are plenty of in-form players that are all going for the trophy this year.

It was tight at the top as Kevin Smith took the crown with a great score of nett 67 beating Adam Hull who also scored nett 67 but lost to a better back nine, while Martin Garnsey finished in third with nett 68.

After the competition it was the annual trophy giving presentation night with all the winners throughout the year and there was plenty of fun and laughs during the evening with trophies like our Club Championship presented to Oliver Greenslade, our Ladies club championship presented to Doreen Warren.

It was a fantastic evening and we would like to thank everyone who came and made it a brilliant evening.
