IN tough conditions at Downes Crediton Golf Club on Thursday, October 17 it was Lyn Parry who came out on top in the Ladies County Stableford competition with a score of 31 points.

Lyn also won Division One with Anne Woodger (28 pts) in second place.

In Division Two Trish Wallis came out on top with a score of 28 points with Diane Parsons following in second place.

In the final monthly medal of the season, played on Saturday, October 19, it was Tracey Chandler who not only took victory in the Ladies Division but also posted the best score of the day shooting a superb gross 77 points for a nett 69 (four under par).

Martyn Sargent followed with his nett 67 (three under) to top Division Two with Robin Abrahams (nett 69) in second place.

In Division One it was the ever-consistent Jason Arnold who won with a nett 70 beating Tristan Kershaw (nett 70) into second place by virtue of a better back nine.

John Smale took the honours in Division Three with a nett 73 closely followed by Arthur Moughton (nett 74) in second place.

Neil Bishop and Gerry Tomlinson won this year’s “Daily Mail” Foursomes qualifier on Sunday, October 20 with a score of nett 70 (level) and will now go on to represent Downes Crediton next season.

Tristan Kershaw and Quintin Payne-Cook finished in second place posting a nett 71.
