MONDAY, August 21 saw Downes Crediton Golf Club Seniors compete for two trophies, the Phil Ollis Trophy and Mike Dunk Trophy.

Quinn Payne-Cook took the Phil Ollis Trophy for the leading score in Divison One with an impressive 38 points. Frank Sanders and Andy Scoots followed in second and third place both scoring 37 points.

The Mike Dunk Trophy was won by John Dean scoring a fine 41 points followed by Bill Dick (40 pts) in second and Graham Jones (36 pts) in third.

Quinn Payne-Cook continued his fine form winning the Midweek Stableford on Wednesday, August 23 with 39 points beating Jim Dunlop (39 pts) by virtue of a better back nine holes.

Di Botterill secured top spot in the Ladies LGU Medal 10 on Thursday, August 24 posting a nett 74. Betty Willey followed in second scoring nett 77 whilst Joyce Gilg placed third with a nett 78.

The Thursday Evening Stableford was won by Gary Sharp scoring 21 points.

Saturday, August 26 saw Downes members play in a Club Stableford and Mark Cummins took the overall victory with a 39 point haul.

Ollie Greenslade (38 pts) posted another solid round to take second whilst a trio of three players scored 36 points with David Hill taking third courtesy of a better back nine holes.

Grandad and Grandson Paul Reeder and Josh Murphy stole the show in the Chandler Generations Challenge on Sunday, August 27 scoring and exceptional 10 under par 46 points to take victory.

Father and daughter Jon and Katie Cornish posted 41 points to finish in second place.
