DOWNES Crediton Golf Club Seniors played a Three-Player Texas Scramble on Monday, January 28 and it was the team of Nick Bromell, Mike Condor and David Vowden who finished top of the pile with a brilliant score of nett 61.5.

Keith Blake, David Cousins and Martin Howe finished in second place with a score of 63.8 whilst the trio of David Fleming, Paul Fricker and Tom Pettifer finished in third place posting a nett 64.1.

In tough conditions on Thursday, January 31, before the snow arrived, it was Fran Shrubsole who took the victory in the ladies Nine-Hole Stableford with a brilliant score of 18 points.

She was closely followed by Ying Wong and Shirley Stunell who finishing second and third respectively both posting 17 points.
