CREDITON Twinning Association Annual Boules Tournament took place in the Town Square on the afternoon of Saturday, June 14. This annual event has been running since 1989 and is usually organised by Peter Brewer.

Ten teams of four entered this year and in keeping with tradition, any team losing its first game move into the “Plate” competition.

The other two trophies are for the winners and runners up in the main tournament.

This year the “Plate” winners were a team called Barclays Bank led by former Branch Manage Andrew Tonkin.

The main final was between the winners last year “Golden Balls” and another previous winner “Forresters”.

With the rain holding off the winners were Golden Balls let by Twinning Association Chairman Jenni Pitts.

Town Mayor, Steve Huxtable who had been in one of the Boniface Link Association teams kindly presented the main trophies while the “Plate” trophy was presented by Valerie Brewer.
