ON Wednesday, September 21, Ed Gallois scored 41 points at Downes Crediton Golf Club to take top spot in the mid-week stableford.

Downes Ladies played the EG Medal 9 and autumn meeting on Thursday, September 22. Vivienne Bailey scored a nett 72 to take this year’s autumn meeting prize while Anne Woodger finished in second place with a nett 74 in the nine-hole competition.

Linda Gill scored a superb 19 points to finish in the top spot in the nine-hole event.

The Thursday nine-hole stableford was won by Ed Gallois who scored 23 points.

On Saturday, September 24, Downes Crediton Golf Club held its annual Gents Invitational and it saw a strong field of golfers.

Simon March and his partner Gary Bridle scored 44 points to take the top spot while the pair of Colin Baker and his partner Ken Todd, who also scored 44 points but lost to a better back nine, finished in second place. In third place were the pair of Nick Murch and his partner John Ponsford who scored 44 points, but also lost out to a better back nine.
