AFTER a delay caused by lockdown restrictions, Crediton Youth FC finally presented the last award for the 2019-20 season.
Reuben Ludgate received the James Uren award for the best young referee to officiate youth fixtures at Lords Meadow for last season.
After passing his referee’s course, Reuben spent the season officiating youth fixtures prior to the first lockdown, when all football ceased.
This season has seen Reuben combine playing his final year of youth football at the club and officiating youth games whenever possible. Since turning 16 he has started to also take charge of adult fixtures as well.
Crediton Youth FC secretary Martin Daniel said: “It is always great to see a young referee like Reuben go on to progress from youth football to the adult game.”
