THERE has been continued fishing action at Creedy Lakes, Crediton, during the past week with a couple of the larger specimens being tempted including an impressive common carp catch which scaled 27lbs in weight.

Crediton angler, Martin Tickner of Crack Shots, enjoyed some good sport whilst fishing towards the top end of the right-hand bank casting out into mid-water depths. Topping his five-fish bag was a lovely specimen common which weighed in at 24lbs. All of Martin’s catches came off the ledger.

Other catches included two fish (best of 11lbs in weight) by Postman Phil Jefferies of Copplestone.

Up in the top lake the Collins family from Copplestone enjoyed some more family fun with action from all three children, Dylan, Drew and Ellie.

Their catches weighed 8lbs, 11lbs 10oz, 11lbs 12oz and a new personal best of 15lbs 12oz.
