A VILLAGE football team is hoping to start anew after being disbanded a few years ago.

Morchard Bishop FC will be returning to the Devon and Exeter Football League for the 2020/21 season and is hiring new players.

The club was disbanded in 2017 after struggling on and off the pitch but is hoping a new lease of life can attract new talent.

Nick Ambrose advertised on Facebook.

He wrote: “Hi to all budding footballers. Morchard Bishop will be having an adult football team next season. We have excellent facilities with a club house and training flood lights.

“We are looking to recruit new players for the up and coming season with all abilities welcome
