SUNDAY morning, May 25, saw the last league action of the season at Crediton Youth Football Club.

The U16 girls hosted unbeaten league champions MAP (Marine Academy Plymouth) at Lords Meadow.

Although they eventually lost out 2-0 to the Plymouth side they made a real game of it and matched their rivals for large parts of the game.

It was the side’s last game at Crediton Youth with many of the players having already made the transition to the Crediton United ladies team.

The girls have been an absolute credit to the club and their coaches over their time at the club.

This past season has been a real success for the older age group sides at the club.

The U18’s remained unbeaten in their league campaign and finished as runners up, with the U16’s finishing as joint league champions and finalists in the league cup.

Many players from both sides have appeared for Crediton United reserves this season helping them to a fourth placed finish in the Devon and Exeter Premier league.
