A MEMORIAL football tournament and fun day held at Exmouth on Sunday, September 9, in memory of Kim Baker, has been described as a “great success” and raised £3,103 for Hospiscare.
A Crediton AFC Reserves team took part in the football tournament at Exmouth Football Club.
Kim Baker had connections with the Crediton area.
Kate Collett-Hughes, who organised the event explained: “Kim was my cousin and she died of ovarian cancer at Searle House in Exeter.
“Kim was from Tiverton, where she lived with her husband and son.
“Her mum lives in Copplestone and her brother, Jason Cliff, is originally from Crediton.”
Jason and many family members and friends attended the event and a collection box for donations was placed on the counter of Evans Newsagents in Crediton.
