DURING the past few weeks, Crediton United FC’s clubhouse has played host to Crediton Youth FC’s many presentation events.

These events started off with the main presentation event which this year, due to the growing number of players, saw the event being split into three sections.

The junior section session, saw the Under Seven’s and Eight’s receive their participation medals and the Under Nine’s their individual awards for the season from Crediton United FC, Chairman Martin Edgington.

Following on from that, the next presentation saw the Under 10 to 12’s receive their participation medals and individual awards from ex-Crediton Youth player and current Crediton United captain Dave Lee.

Also awarded in this session were the Junior Section Chairman’s award which went to Stuart Poole for all his hard work, especially with updating club policies and procedures.

The Vice Chairman’s award went to Allan Broome and Jim Southall for all their efforts and enthusiasm they have brought to the club in their first season.

The final session saw the senior age group the Under 13’s to 16’s receive their participation medals and awards from Crediton United FC assistant manager Richard Blake.

During this presentation long-service awards were presented to four Under 16’s players Bailey Vodden, Charlie Rook and Edward and Oliver Daniel who have represented the club continuously from Under Eight’s.

Two Under 15’s players, Duncan Smith and Jack Harvey, who finished their time at the club playing for the Under 16’s side, also received awards for their services to the club.

Long-Service Awards were also presented to Glyn Vodden and Martin and Sally Anne Daniel to acknowledge their commitment to the club.

The Chairman’s Award in the senior category went to the Girls Section for their achievements this season.

The Vice Chairman’s Award went to Lisa Champ for the outstanding work she has done in the role of Tournament Secretary.

The Club Person of the Year Award went to Sally Anne Daniel for all the work she has done behind the scenes for the Club.

The Tim Roach Cup for the outstanding achievement or contribution made by an age group within the club went to the Under 16’s Boys. The side had stuck together and finished their time at the club with a squad of 18 players and had seen them have a great season and reach the Plate Final.

With the growth of the Girls Section, it was decided to hold the Girls Section presentations in two separate events for the junior and senior age groups.

Both events were held on Friday evenings and saw the girls hold their regular training session, followed by a meal, kindly prepared for them by volunteer parents.

The presentation of their participation medals then followed. These presentations were made by their respective managers and coaches.
