THE football pitch for Lapford’s match against Okehampton reserves was unfit (too wet) on Saturday, December 11.

The non-result means Lapford’s top spot moves down into second position behind Thorverton who won their away match against Axminster Reserves.

So now Lapford has a match in-hand with only two points back.

Tomorrow, Saturday, December 18, Lapford will play away to Sidmouth Reserves for their last match of 2021.

Lapford, up to now, remain the only unbeaten team in the Premier Division.

In the Sportsliving Premier Cup Quarter Final, to be played on February 5, Lapford will play away to Beer Albion.

Before that the first league match of 2022 will be away at Thorverton on Saturday, January 8, followed by an East Devon Senior Cup match against Newton St Cyres on Saturday, January 15.

The winners will play Lyme Regis or Tipton St John.

So, onwards and upwards.

I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
