IT was a big day on Sunday, May 1, for Crediton Youth FC U12’s.

Their 2-0 win over Central Grecians in the Exeter and District Youth League Cup Final saw them secure the League and Cup double.

Results elsewhere, earlier in the week, saw them clinch the Division One title with three games to play.

They still remain unbeaten in the League this season.

Goals from Seb Roche and Jake Stagg saw them seal victory in the final held at Tiverton Town’s Ladysmead ground. They have now become the most successful side at the club for a number of years.

It was an agonising midweek defeat for the U15’s against Moors Youth.

A thrilling game looked to end one apiece before Moors stole a 2-1 win in the dying seconds. Owen Jones with a superb header getting the Credy goal.

The lads bounced back at the weekend with an 8-0 win over Copplestone Pumas. Ryan Sandland leading the scoring with a hat-trick an Owen Jones double, Ben Harvey, Jasper Hunt and Louis Garnsworthy completed the scoring.

The U14’s played their last away game of the season midweek away at Ottery St Mary. They went down 4-0 in what was always going to be a tough fixture.

Another away win for the U13’s as they put four past Twyford Spartans without reply. Two each from Rhys Ebdy and Zach Mildon securing another useful three points for them.

The U11’s were away at Central, they returned with another good result. Will Matten with a hat-trick and two from Dan Cavanagh sealed their win.

It was a development tournament for the U10’s at Stoke Hill. They fielded two sides who both won four and lost one after a fine morning of football. Amongst the goals for them were Archie Crosbie, Dan Southall, Isaac Heal and George Dumbleton.

Sunday saw the U11 girls play a home friendly against Paignton Villa who will be entering the league next season.

The Crediton girls proved too strong for their new opponents with Gracie Clements, Gracie Pugsley and Lexi Mullen getting the goals in their victory.
