THE pitches at Lords Meadow were again a hive of activity over the weekend of June 6 and 7 as Crediton Youth FC hosted its annual six-a-side tournament.

Teams from all over the South West made up the 192 teams which took part over the two days.

Challenging weather conditions in the build-up to the tournament and on the Saturday did not affect the smooth running of event. Sunday's fine weather capped a successful weekend for the club.

Once again, special thanks must go to Crediton Rugby Club and Page Concrete and Steel for their assistance with parking.

Behind the scenes it takes a lot of work to put on such a big event. The club would like to thank all the coaches, parents and volunteers who helped to make this year's tournament such a success.

Congratulations must go to Ross Brealy and his team in the results tent and Chief Referee Rob Stoyle and all of his team, who played their part in ensuring things ran so efficiently. The club once again received some great feedback from visiting sides.
Special thanks must go to Crediton Lions for their assistance on both days with car parking, and to Crediton United FC for their continued support.
