MANY Crediton Youth FC teams had Exeter and District Youth league cup fixtures on Saturday, November 18.

The U16’s made the short journey to local rivals North Tawton. It was a tight affair, with Ollie Hawke getting the only goal of the game that saw Crediton progress to the next round.

Once again the U13’s shared 14 goals in their game at Lords Meadow. Last week they came out well on top 12-2 against West Hill Wasps. Will Hopkins and Hayden Richardson Miller led the goal scoring for them.

There were also a lot of goals for the U12’s, as they came back from Cranbrook United Youth with a fine result.

Riad Abdel Hay led the scoring with a hatrick, Freddie Peake with two and further goals from Daniel Southall, Elliott Fee, Eliss Friend and Rory Hiscock in their 9-0 victory.

Also through to the next round are the U11’s after they progressed after a strong performance away at Stoke Hill.

Luke Beetlestone with two, Finn Moore, Joseph Charlesworth, Ollie Dallyn, Seb Conridge and Will Manns all amongst the goals for them.

It was not to be the U10 Panthers day as they went out 1-0 to Alphington. They played their part in a thrilling cup tie on the astro at Lords Meadow but just could not score.

The U9 United suffered the same agony, as they too went out by the same score to Central City on the astro in another exciting cup tie.

Despite being camped in the opposition penalty box for the last few minutes, the ball just would not end up in the back of Central goal.

A special mention must go to the U7’s who travelled to play Total 14 and lost out by only one goal to the academy side.

Sunday saw the U13 girls return from Signal Box Oak Villa with a 7-0 County cup victory. Gracie Clements led the scoring with five and further goals from Gracie Pugsley and Lexi Mullen capped a fine morning for them.

It was a big game in the U11 girls league as the two Crediton sides took on each other. At the final whistle it ended up two apiece.

Emily Walshe got both of the goals for the Blues and Talia Greenwood both of the youth side goals.

The U18’s returned to action in the County cup against Tiverton Town. They lost out 7-1 to a very useful side.

There was also County cup action for the U13’s at home against Chaddlewood Miners Youth. Another game with lots of goals for them, but they eventually lost out  5-7.

Amongst the goal scorers for them were Amber Zhang, Ethan Moore, George Strawson and Will Hopkins.

Also back in action were the U9 girls who had a great morning of football in a mini tournament at Twyford Spartans.
