CREDITON Youth Football Club recently ran a trip for its Under 15’s and 16’s players to watch the Southampton v Arsenal Premier League fixture.

The club was very fortunate to be able to take a full coachload up to the St Mary’s stadium, thanks to the help from Saints’ South West.

Arriving in plenty of time the party were able to take in the atmosphere and build-up to the game. Some were even fortunate enough to meet ex Southampton and England legend Matt Le Tissier.

The game itself was a thrilling 1-1 draw, which gave the group the chance to see many top internationals in action.

Club Chairman, Martin Daniel, said: “After a break of a couple of seasons, it was really great to be able to offer our older age group players the chance to watch a Premier League game.

“We see it as an important part of the overall package we like to offer our players.”
