THE U8s and U9s travelled to St James Park to take part in the Half Time Shoot Out as part of the home fixture against Leyton Orient.
Unfortunately, the game ended goalless but the Crediton players and their families still enjoyed the occasion.
It was an agonising defeat for Crediton Youth U14s away at Twyford Spartans. They went 2-0 down in the first 10 minutes but bravely fought back to level terms with goals from Freddie Peake and Jacob Greenwood. Then a late penalty for the home saw them lose out 3-2.
The U13s with a big backlog of fixtures played a double header against Twyford Spartans at Lords Meadow. One game finished 2-1 to the Spartans and the other 3-2 to the Crediton lads. Ed Petherick, Jacob Sweeney and Will Manns were amongst the goals for them.
Bradnich was the U12s’ destination as they lost out 5-3. Dexter Hughes, Elliot Beard and Parker Ambrosio were all on the scoresheet.
It was a tight affair for the U11s as they ran out winners by the odd goal away at Lympstone. Tom Finney scored a brace to clinch their win.
Sunday morning saw every pitch at Lords Meadow in use with a full program of girls football.
The U15s came from 3-1 down at half time to edge out Stoke Hill Colts 5-4. Olivia Mills grabbed the first four with Lucy O’Connell getting the fifth with a fine strike. But their coaches were again impressed by the whole team performance in the second half.
There were a lot of goals also in the U13 Blues girls game as they lost out to 4-2 to Axminster Tigers.
Goals were in short supply in the U11s game as the Crediton girls defeated Dawlish Wasps by a single goal.
It was plate semi final day for the U9 girls but they lost out to Axminster.
They also had a friendly against Dawlish which they won, Charlotte Davey, Connie Beddoes-Byrne and Summer Sheppard amongst the goals for them. Player of the day awards went to Reina Greaves and Maisie Avery for excellent defending.
Away from home the U13 Youth girls came away from Braunton Wanderers with a big three points. Two goals apiece from April Hanson and Emily Walshe saw the game at four each before a solo goal from Merryn Eatherley gave sealed a 5-4 result for them.
The final game of the day saw a great result for the U18s as they hosted Cullompton Rangers. Ellis Alldrich with a double, and goals from Fletcher Clark, Joe Ward and Zak Mildon saw them to a 5-0 victory.
