ONCE again Crediton Youth Football Club organised a visit into St James’ Park, Exeter to watch a Sky Bet League Two fixture.
This season’s chosen game was the match against Stevenage.
As an added bonus the game had been moved to a Sunday lunch-time kick off, as it was being shown live on Sky TV. Also Stevenage are managed by ex Manchester United and England star Teddy Sherringham.
Around 90 players and parents, from Crediton Youth, went along and watched a thrilling 3-3 draw, with Stevenage equalising in stoppage time.
At half-time, members of Crediton Youth Under 10’s and 13’s took part in the half-time shoot out. After an exciting shoot out, honours were shared with it ending 23-all.
On the same day, three Crediton Youth players, Will Cridge, Scott and Chloe Hartrey were also match day mascots.
Martin Daniel, from Crediton Youth, said: “A great day was had by all, with many of the younger players getting their first opportunity to watch a live football league game.”
