CREDITON Youth Football Club Under 8’s recently received a brand new kit, kindly sponsored by Oliver’s Bakery of Crediton.

During the past season the club has started to move over to a new more modern design of kit.

Scott Brimilcombe from the club has been working closely with Raging Bull, the club’s kit supplier, to make the transition over to the new design of kit.

The new style sees the club move away from its traditional light blue shirts and dark blue socks and shorts to a darker blue kit more in line with Crediton United’s first team’s new colours.

Already the majority of the club’s sides have moved across to the new range of kit, with another two age groups soon to receive theirs.

This is down to the very generous support that the club has received from local businesses in the area.

The club really appreciates the very kind gesture made by sponsors, who allowed the kit changeover project run ahead of schedule, especially during these challenging Covid times.

The club has been working with Raging Bull and its parent company Halbro for more than a decade now, providing the club kits.

Simon Stevens initially came across the Raging Bull range at a football trade exhibition at Ashton Gate, Bristol.

The club was very impressed with the fact that all sponsors logos and numbers are actually woven into the kits as opposed to being printed on, and that replacement shirts for any kit can still be reproduced years after their original manufacture.

Many of the very first kits are still in occasional use even now, showing longevity of the kits.

At present the club is planning its annual six-a side tournament to be held on the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, June 11 and 12, at Lords Meadow, which will hopefully attract more than 180 sides from across the South West.

The club is always keen to involve local businesses.
