CREDITON v BRIXINGTON BLUES

CREDITON Youth FC Under 14’s “home” fixture on March 14 once again saw us play an away game as our pitch was unplayable. In order to get the match under our belts we travelled to Brixington’s pitch – another week on top of a hill.

We went into the game thinking that both sides were evenly matched at this point in the season, however, our lack of a killer instinct once again meant we fell behind. And sadly that’s the way it stayed.

“Finn” suddenly seemed to be a popular name with three of us on the pitch, along with two “Tylers”! Steve the-Postie-James kept encouraging us, but we drew a blank. DIY- Dave ran the line but couldn’t fix our problems.

We’re having a bit of a bad run at the moment, so if there are any Premier League managers... Jurgen, José, Frankie L, Olé... finding themselves with nothing to do due to COVID-19, feel free to come and give us some tips.

Mickel Arteta – you can keep your distance! By the way, where was our very own Dave José Hughes...quarantined?!

Unless COVID-19 takes a hold, our match against Alphington on Saturday, March 21, should be on – they’ve got a 4G pitch.
