IT was another busy weekend for Crediton Youth FC.

Probably the performance of the weekend was by the Under 13 girls in their County Cup tie away at Plymouth Marjons.

With many players unavailable they went into the game very much the underdogs.

The game itself was described as a battle! But the Crediton girls put in an amazing performance to run out 1-0 winners with Ruby Turner getting the vital winner.

Saturday saw the Under 7’s play their first ever fixtures against two sides from Lympstone at Lords Meadow. After many short games, the Crediton sides probably edged it.

The Under 8’s entertained Copplestone and Heavitree with three narrow defeats and a draw.

Goals from George Strawson, Josh Poole and an own goal saw the Under 11’s return from Exeter Panthers with maximum points.

Another home victory for the Under 12’s, as they put three past Central Eagles without reply. Jake Stagg with two and Zac Miller getting their goals.

It was a cracking game of football as the Under 13’s entertained Heavitree United. The visitors made a game of it, before Creddy eventually ran out 6-2 winners. Rhys Ebdy grabbed four and Hayden Leach and Zach Mildon completed the scoring.

The Under 14’s hastily arranged a friendly against the Under 15’s, as their opponents St Martin’s pulled out owing to Covid issues. Both sides enjoyed the runout, with the Under 15’s inevitably winning.

Lots of smiling faces at Cullompton on Sunday as the Under 9 girls were match day mascots for the Exeter City Ladies game against Keynsham. Their day was completed as City ran out 3-0 winners and ex Crediton Youth player Jess Sandland was back in the City side.
