ONCE again Crediton Youth Football Club organised their ever-popular annual trip to watch a premier league game.
This year the chosen match was the Aston Villa versus Arsenal game.
A total of 37 players accompanied by 15 managers and adult helpers left Crediton early on the Sunday morning for the lunch-time fixture at Villa Park.
Arriving in time to see the Arsenal team coach arrive, the party then made their way to the Villa “kids zone”, where there were various activities such as a gladiator challenge and bucking bronco prior to kick off.
The group then made their way to the North Stand to watch the players warm up and take in the atmosphere before kick off.
The game saw Arsenal run out 2-0 winners. The match gave the Crediton Youth players a great chance to see many top international players in action.
Thanks must once again go to Mike Edworthy for organising such a well-run trip.
Club chairman, Martin Daniel, said: “It was great to once again give a lot of our players the opportunity to see a Premier league game for the first time.
“For some of our older players, they have, in the last three years, been lucky enough to see Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool since the trip has been resurrected.”
