IT was a bumper weekend of action for many Crediton Youth FC sides as they concluded their league season’s.

Once again, it was another big game for the U16’s as they needed a victory over West Exe to maintain their quest for top spot. Goals from Hayden Leach, Luke Cassar, Rhys Ebdy and Zach Mildon saw them to a 4-1 victory.

With their rivals Alphington also winning it looks like they will share the league title. Next weekend sees the two sides go head to head in the league cup final at Tiverton Town.

The U15’s had two fixtures, midweek they took on Twyford Spartans at Tiverton Town and ran out 5-2 winners. Goals from Alfie Williams Greenwood, Fletcher Clark, Jake Shepherd, Seb Roche and Zak Cheriot saw them clinch runners up spot.

Saturday they lost out 5-3 away at Abbot Athletic with Alfie Williams Greenwood, Fletcher Clark and Seb Roche all on target again. They too have a cup final next weekend as they take on West Exe.

It was a tough day for the U14’s as they concluded their league season away at champions Stoke Hill. They lost out 8-2 with Archie Delling and Jimmy Orchard grabbing their goals.

The U13’s finished with a 2-0 home defeat against Culm Sampford Lions.

It was a tight affair for the U12’s as they beat Stoke Hill Falcons 3-2. Goals from Joseph Charlesworth, Ollie Dallyn and Will Manns saw them remain unbeaten in their league campaign.

The U11’s put in a tremendous performance against Alphington Youth but eventually lost out to the Exeter side. Elliot Beard and Fraiser Page getting their goals.

Looking ahead to next season the U10’s put out two sides in friendly nine aside fixtures. One side drew against Stoke Hill and the other narrowly edged out Alphington.

It was a busy morning on the mini pitches as the U7’s hosted the league round of fixtures, with six visiting sides. The Crediton sides had an excellent morning with only one defeat.

Sunday saw the U18’s travel to Ottery St Mary for their final game. They ran out 4-2 winners which saw them remain unbeaten in their league campaign. Greg Mildon, Jack Perry, Joe Gilbert and Louis Garnsworthy all on the score sheet.

For many of the players and coaches it saw the end of a long journey as they signed off after many seasons excellent service to the club.

It was a big game for the U12 Youth girls as they went into their final game with the top four sides all in contention for the league title. Unfortunately, they lost out 2-1 away at Twyford Spartans. Neneh Richards got the Creddy goal in an end to end game.

The U10 girls entered two sides in a tournament at Hatherleigh. They enjoyed a great day with one side winning the Europa league and the other finishing as runners up.
