CATCHES have been fast and furious during the last two weeks at Creedy Lakes fishery in Crediton with bags of up to 23 fish recorded. Amongst the returns have been a couple of the larger specimens including a 29lbs 1oz common.

One of these was recorded by Crediton angler Mike Izzard who hooked three 20 pounders during one session.

His day finished with a six-fish bag and topping his catches was a 27lbs 1oz common. Other fish caught weighed in at 21lbs 7oz, 20lbs 4oz, 18lbs 7oz, 15lbs and 10lbs 8oz.

Mike also had another cracking session which saw him banking a very impressive 20-fish bag during one session.

He moved swims towards the fish action which did pay off and his top three catches that day scaled 21lbs 10oz, 20lbs 2oz and 19lbs 15oz.

New Buildings angler Paul Baker had a great session whilst fishing at the top of the right bank. His bag that session totalled 17 fish all of which were commons and topping them was a nice 18lbs 13oz.

Jarrod Kastner of Cheriton Fitzpaine enjoyed some good sport banking four commons including three double figures best of 17lbs in size.
