PHIL Matten, team captain of the Cricketers skittles team, presents Jill Kinch, chairperson of the Sandford Relief in Need charity, with cheques totalling £600 following the Cricketers successful 2017/18 season when they won all three major skittles competitions in the Crediton and District Skittles League. In the past few seasons the Cricketers, who play their home games at Sandford Cricket Club, have elected to make charity donations in lieu of receiving trophies and this year elected to support a local charity within the parish of Sandford.
