THE new cricket season for Shobrooke Cricket Club is due to start in mid-April with a friendly game against Hatherleigh on April 14.

In preparation for the new season the club has organised net sessions at the Centre of Excellence, University Sports Hall in Exeter, on Sunday evenings between 7pm and 8pm.

These will be held on February 25, March 4, March 18 and March 25.

From late March onwards, net sessions will be held at the club’s own ground.

The club would like to invite new players of all abilities, both young and old, to join for the 2018 season and go along to the net sessions.

Shobrooke Park CC run two sides in the Devon League on a Saturday and there is also the opportunity to play some Sunday and mid-week cricket.

The club is fortunate to play on one of the most picturesque cricket grounds in the South West.
