QUEEN Elizabeth’s School’s equestrian team recently won two top titles, the Team and Individual Show Jumping County Championships.

Competing in the 70 cm section of National Schools’ Equestrian Association (NSEA) school show jumping qualifiers at Bicton earlier this month, the QE riding team, comprising Evie Mildon riding Gracie, Fiona Weddon riding Sam and Alice Turner on Gwennol, all jumped super clear rounds. 

The team gained second place and as the highest placed team from Devon qualified for the NSEA County Championship. 

Sue Turner, the QE team manager, said: “With a super fast clear, Alice and Gwennol won the class to become individual County Champions.”

She added: “The QE team would like to send a big ‘thank you’ to Tucker’s Country Stores who have provided the team with personalised QE numnahs.

“The girls are thrilled with their achievement and are looking forward to representing Devon at the finals at Bury Farm in April.”
