A YOUNG Crediton horse rider has qualified to compete in the British Showjumping Association national finals at Stoneleigh in Warwickshire.
Paris Whyte (10), has been riding her 12.2 hh, 17-years-old bay pony “Polly Pocket Rocket” for more than two years and has achieved great success, the duo amassing a large collection of rosettes and awards.
It was on Polly Pocket Rocket that she recently qualified for the BSA finals in August.
Paris describes Polly Pocket Rocket as “the best pony in the world”.
She said she practises a lot and had ridden since she was three.
Her pony is kept at stables at Hollacombe, Crediton, and she thanked her mother who does most of the mucking out and grooming.
Paris also recently qualified for the National Schools Jumping finals and will be representing her primary school, Hayward’s, in Crediton.
