IT was bumper morning of football at Lords Meadow for Crediton Youth FC.

The U13s took on Alphington and found themselves 1-0 down after conceding a penalty in the opening minute and then conceded a second minutes later.

But they recovered strongly to eventually run out 8-3 winners.

Ashley Henderson grabbed one goal, but it was Seb Roche who was on fire getting the other seven.

It was another home victory for the U12s who beat Heavitree Youth Lightning 3-0.

Hayden Richardson Miller, Luis Matthews, and Will Matten on target for them. But a special mention must go to the defence who again kept another clean sheet.

Central Youth were the U8’s guests, and the Crediton sides enjoyed a fine morning with four victories.

Player of the day awards went to Charlie Haward and Lennon Young.

The U7s hosted the Round Robin for their age group with nine teams taking part.

Crediton Youth’s youngest age group enjoyed a fine morning.

There were no fixtures for the U10s but they had an enjoyable afternoon as match day mascots for Crediton United for their home game against Torrington.

Away from home the U16s were edged out late on 1-0 by Whipton Youth in a game they felt neither side deserved to win.

The U14s were at Stoke Hill and they returned with a 5-0 victory against the Exeter side.

Getting their goals were Oliver Baker with two, Dan Burgess, Jayden Friend and Zach Mildon.

It was a 1-1 draw for the U11s away at Central Youth Wanderers. Josh Stansfield getting the equaliser.

The U9s travelled up to Braunton FC for friendly fixtures.

Sunday saw the U12 girls take on Newton Fire at Lords Meadow.

Gracie Clements lead the goal scoring for them with four, and other goals from Gracie Pugsley and Lexi Mullen Penney gave them a 6-2 victory. Player of the match awards going to Annabel Schuster and Eva.

It was another away day for the U10 girls.

They took on sides from Central and Starcross and continued their fine run of form with both teams winning their games comfortably. Special mentions to Iyla Brenchley who scored her first ever goal and to Sienna Baker who was an absolute rock in defence.

Many of their players also watched the Exeter City ladies against Portishead game at St James Park.

They were thrilled to see one of their coaches Jess Sandland score the final goal of the game to give City a 6-0 victory in front of a record crowd of 2,936 for an Exeter ladies game.
