AFTER nearly two years layoff, the bowls have started rolling again at North Tawton Bowling Club.

A very successful Spring Meeting, organised by secretary, Anita Lamey, and chaired by John Kinsey, set forward a very detailed plan of action for the coming summer season.

First and foremost, the green looks in excellent condition due mainly to the efforts of Rob Arscottt and Dave Cooper, plus the addition of a new, all-dancing and singing tine machine.

The new fixture list was prepared by Gordon Denham and Margaret Arscott.

It looks set for some interesting tussles this summer.

Unfortunately our travel and tea costs have had to go up, despite £850 being raised at a Race Night held at the Club.

All the essential cleaning and tea rotas are prepared and the Club competitions are in place.

Old and new players are most welcome, with coaching available on Monday nights.

Do come along to our Opening Day, which begins at 1.30pm on Saturday, April 16.
