MORCHARD Bishop Bowling Club opened for the season during a breezy afternoon on Friday, April 15.

President Gillian Gunn opened the green by putting up the first wood of the season.

A spider was held with £55 being donated to the Devon Air Ambulance Trust.

The winner was Sam Sherwood, who was the lucky recipient of a hamper.

Several of the members decided to brave the windy conditions and play some ends of bowls.

This was followed by a convivial tea.

Morchard Bishop Bowling Club has capacity for new members.
