A MEMBER of Colebrooke Bowls Club is one of the Devon team who won the English Short Mat Bowls Association National Championships this year, played in Solihull.
The team was Diane Shepherd (Colebrooke), Gil Cawse (Exeter Nomads), George Main (Yarnscombe) and Elliot James (Yarnscombe). The final was played at Solihull Indoor Bowls Arena.
Diane has lived at Colebrooke for 25 years, moving there with husband Graham and their four children who now have their own homes.
She and Graham have been playing short mat bowls at Colebrooke since it started several years ago and are the first members to play for Devon.
