A TEAM of ladies from Crediton Bowling Club are through to the final of the InterClub competition.

Play was held at Paignton last Saturday with both the semi-finals and the final scheduled, but due to the exceptionally warm conditions that were forecast an early decision was made to just play the semi-finals this week with the winners returning to contest the final at the weekend.

Crediton easily brushed Madeira aside and will now meet Honiton in the final.

In the Ladies Triple League Crediton have two teams.

There are two games of the season left and currently the Greens are in second place while the Yellows are fighting relegation.

The last game of the season sees the two go head-to-head.

Will there be some collusion to ensure the right outcome? Watch this space!

The team of Allan Gibb, Mary Abbott, Terry Chamberlain and Sheila Forster won the St Thomas Bowling Club Centeneray Competition.

It is often an honour to be asked to represent your bowling club at events such as these.

The host club will invite local clubs to send a group of players who then compete against four or six teams from the home club.

The best cumulative score takes the trophy and there is often a great spread for everyone to enjoy so a great day is guaranteed.

The men had a mixed day at Torquay in the Top Club competition.

In the morning they had a magnificent win against Kings but then lost 3-2 in the final to Culm Vale.
