MONDAY, June 24 saw an NBTL game take place at Heavitree B.C. result: G.Fribbens 12 v 12 J.Ayris 17 v 10.

Tuesday afternoon (June 25) Tavistock B.C. visit Crediton Bowling Club, with six mixed rinks played, result: G.Newbery 13 v 19 C.Marshall 26 v 17 E.Flower 22 v 19 C.Fribbens 28 v 4 J.Martin 29 v 9 T.Newbery 24 v 20. Crediton won overall.

During the evening the quarter-final of the Men’s Championship took place with first year bowler Paul Lobb facing Rob Paxton. England International score was 21 v 6 to Rob but we have to say well done to Paul for making it that far in his first season.

At the same time a Burma Star mixed Triple was taking place between T.Newbery and Co and J.Kinsey (North Tawton) which Newbery and Co won.

Wednesday, June 26 saw the Over 60s Men playing in their respective teams, Crediton A was playing Exonia A at Exonia R.Andrews 15 v 12 R.Scott 10 v 19 two points achieved.

Crediton B at home to Phear Park B.C. G.Newbery 21 v 21 C.Fribbens 14 v 19 one point.

Crediton C at home to Tiverton West end B.C. D.Grant 26 v 15 R.Fickling 19 v 19 five points.

Ladies Over 50s Yellow fared less well away to Seaton B.C. (Blue) C.Marshall 10 v 21 J.Ayris 14 V 29.

With a fast drive to Barnstaple a few of the Over 60s took part in the National Double Rink for Men at United Services B.C. during the evening, where one rink won but the other rink lost heavily. Result saw a win to United Services.

Thursday morning (June 27) and onto the green at 10.30am ventured Torbay Country B.C. to challenge us in the Tony Allcock Trophy. Both rinks won with a good display of bowling from both teams. Result: a win for Crediton. 46 v 15.

Thursday afternoon saw a game between Crediton Green and Sidmouth B.C. Blue Over 50s Ladies league took place with J.Martin 26 v 9 M.Scott 13 v 16.

Thursday evening and the Mens Exeter and District league fixture away to Exmouth Madeira B.C. took place with Crediton winning on all four rinks.

Friday was a quiet day with just two mixed pairs playing. C.Bond and R.Andrews with their respective partners who both lost.

In the evening the Umbrella was played alongside one rink of the Mens Foxlands where one rink plays at home and another plays on the other team’s rink, in this case, Okehampton B.C. result: C.Bond 23 v 9 M.Theedom won by seven shots.

Saturday, June 29 was a journey up to Barnstaple United Services for a mixed friendly. Results: P.Milford 17 v 20 M.Haywood 31 v 19 C.Fribbens 29 v 19 S.Wollacott 8 v 25 - Crediton won overall.

Saturday evening Barnstaple B.C. came to play the Ladies in the National Top Club (four disciplines, a rink, a triple, a pairs and a singles). Crediton won three of the four, so progress to the next round with a trip to Newquay.
