IT has been a difficult year at North Tawton Bowling Club.

The General Committee has worked hard to keep things going.

This includes a new visitors changing room plus a path to and from the Green.

The latter has been well maintained by the grounds committee lead by Robert Arscott and David Cooper.

Thanks also go to chairman John Kinsey and Co who have managed to play some very enjoyable internal competitions, while, of course, observing social distancing at all times.

We had to remind some members that this did not apply to the bowls and the jack!

Ladies

Handicap - four woods singles - Jan Summers; Powesland Cup - four woods singles - Jan Summers; Legion Cup - two woods singles - Chris Ainger; Vallance Cup - four woods pairs - Chris Ainger and Jill Whiteley; Ladies Triples - Anita Lamey, Chris Ainger and Jill Whiteley.

Mens

Avery Cup - two woods singles - Lloyd Reynolds; Wonnacott Cup - four woods singles - Robert Arscott; Stoneman Cup - four woods pairs - John Kinsey and Ron Indge; Benham Cup - four woods single - Phil Hammans.

Club Mixed triples

Winners - Jane Beresford Smith, Rick Ball and Gordon Denham.

This winter there will be limited short mat bowls in the club house.
