FIVE Blindfold Yoga classes will be run at various venues by Esme Butterfield in aid of the Indian charity Second Sight.
Esme’s son Otis is blind and is the inspiration behind the Blindfold Yoga sessions.
Esme explained: "There are many benefits to temporarily eliminating sight in yoga, such as connecting deeper with ourselves, overcoming fear, trying something new and having fun while also developing a sense of gratitude!
"You are guided safely by how Yoga feels rather than how it looks!
"I have decided to run the Blindfold Yoga classes to raise money for Second Sight a charity in India with strong local ties to Crediton that pledges to eradicate curable blindness in the Indian state of Bihar by 2020.
"We hope to get Crediton out, bums on mats, blindfolds on and having fun, while making a suggested £5 class donation toward this fantastic cause…..why not come along to get fit, stretch and try something completely new!
The Blindfold Yoga sessions will be held on:
Tuesday, June 12 at Yeoford Hall from 9.15am to 10.15 am and Crediton Town Hall from 6pm to 7pm and 7.15pm to 8.15pm.
Thursday June 14 at Crediton Methodist Church from 9.30am to 10.30am and Yeoford Hall from 7pm to 8pm.
