THE largest bag of 24 fish landed last week at Creedy Lakes, Crediton, went to local angler Mike Izzard who travelled light and moved several times during a recent trip.

Perseverance paid off for the Crediton angler following several visits where the fish were having none of this method on the top.

On this visit however all Mike’s catches were taken from the surface and topping his all-common carp bag was a nice pair of 20’s weighing 21lbs (joint best fish of the week) and 20lbs 2oz.

Another Crediton angler, Mick Youles, enjoyed some nice action on the top and tempted out two doubles whilst fishing three-quarters of the way up on the right-hand bank from one of his favourite swims.
