Yer Tiz Rally until October 2 at Newton St Cyres Recreational Ground (EX5 5AT). The Yer Tiz Bike Show (open to the public) will be held on Saturday, October 1 from 2pm to 5pm.

Saturday 1

10.30am - Historic Churches Coffee Morning at Weirford House, Sampford Courtenay (rearranged date). Proceeds to Devon Historic Churches and St Andrew’s Church. Everyone welcome.

1pm - 4pm - Apple Pressing at St Swithun’s Church, Shobrooke.

6pm - Bring and Share Harvest Supper at Shobrooke Village Hall.

6pm for 6.30pm - Churches Together in Lapford Harvest Supper at the Victory Hall, Lapford.

7pm - Sampford Courtenay Oktoberfest event in the Village Hall (in aid of Village Green developments).

7.30pm - Crediton ELF Fundraising Group Comedy Night with Johnny Cowling at the Boniface Centre, Crediton.

Sunday 2

9.30am - Grant Awards from Crediton Church Music Endowment Fund will be presented at the Harvest Sung Eucharist Service at Crediton Parish Church.

10am to 12.30pm Children’s Market at Coldridge Village Hall. Range of children’s items from newborn to teens for sale. Proceeds to Coldridge Village Hall and the Ukraine Appeal.

2pm to 5pm - Tea Dance at North Tawton Village Hall with The Hummingbirds, Lindy Hop performance and lessons. In aid of the Royal British Legion, in memory of Alf Bolt.

Wednesday 5

7.30pm to 9pm - Newton St Cyres Young Farmers Club Games and Pizza New Members Evening at the village hall.

Friday 7

7.30pm - Tiverton and Mid Devon Astronomy Society (TAMDAS) talk “The Life and Times of Galileo” with Bud Budzynski at Blundell’s Preparatory School, Blundell’s Road, Tiverton EX16 4NA.

Saturday 8

10am - “Children in Need” Ramble and Treasure Hunt starting in Sampford Courtenay Village Hall.

12 noon to 2pm - Coldridge Gardening Club Bangers and Mash Lunch at the village hall.

4pm - Harvest Festival with a Bring and Share Party in St Matthew’s Church, Coldridge.

7pm for 7.30pm start - The Great Bow Bake Off Shock! Includes Murder Mystery, Baking competition and three-course light supper.

Sunday 9

9am - Sandford Syclepaths 2022 Sandford Slammer. Start and finish at Sandford Cricket Club.

2pm - Whist Drive at Upton Pyne Village Hall. For Village Hall funds.

Thursday 13

7.15pm - Crediton Flower Club AGM at the Boniface Centre, Crediton followed by a cheese and wine supper.

Friday 14

7pm for 7.45pm - Sandford Meat Bingo at Sandford Parish Hall.

Saturday 15

10am to 12 noon - People’s Park Wildlife Area Working Party at the eastern end of People’s Park. Everyone welcome to go along and help maintain the garden.

4.30pm - “Go, Goliath” concert at Crediton Parish Church featuring the Parish Church Choir with the Devon County Junior Choir. Proceeds for the Crediton Music Endowment Fund

10am to 12 noon U3A Crediton and District talk Tim Harrold “Siegfried Marian, Mad, Bad or Before his Time?” at the Boniface Centre. Entry £1.50 (includes refreshments).

6.30pm (Eyes down at 7.45) Redlands League of Friends, Crediton - October Bingo at Crediton Football Club.
