3pm - Quantum Theatre presentation of “The Tale of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny” at Lapford Mill. Open air event by Chulmleigh and District Society. For prices telephone 07815 795918.

7pm - Guided Walk: The Great Fire of Crediton, 1743. Meet at Crediton Museum for a walk taking in sites connected with the Great Fire. Total distance one mile. £5 each. Book at: [email protected] or at the museum.

10am to 4pm - Heritage Open Day, Crediton Parish Church. 

2pm - Winkleigh Flower and Produce Show at Winkleigh Village Hall. Auction of produce at 4pm.

6.30pm - Cheriton’s Got Talent at Cheriton Fitzpaine Parish Hall.

11am - Witheridge Motor Show at Witheridge Sports Club. In aid of the Devon Air Ambulance and Over and Above (North Devon Hospital Trust). To enter email: [email protected] .

Saturday 2 

10am to 2pm - Craft Fair at the Boniface Centre, Crediton.

3pm to 5pm - Lapford Gardening Club annual show, Victory Hall. Cream Teas.

Cancelled - The last Hoorar to Summer at Winkleigh Recreation Centre with food, music and crafts. 

2.30pm - Zeal Monachorum Village Hall Autumn Show. Admission £1 - children free. 3.15pm Prize giving, auction and draw. More details from 01363 82571.

6.30pm for 7pm - Quiz and Supper at the Boniface Centre, Crediton. Book in your team of 4-6 people with Glenda on 01363 773669. Tickets are £10 adult, £5 children to include a supper of ham or quiche with salad. There will also be a bar and raffle (donations of raffle prizes gratefully accepted). 

Sunday 3

9.30am to 11am - Big Breakfast Church at Emmanuel Church, Morchard Bishop.  Donations appreciated.

6pm - The Friends of Crediton Parish Church Festival Evensong with the Venerable John Reed, former Archdeacon of Taunton giving the address. All welcome.

7pm for 7.45pm - Sandford Meat Bingo at Sandford Parish Hall.

7pm - An Evening with Tricia Sail winner of this year’s “Race across the World” at the Boniface Centre, Crediton. 

Saturday 9

10am to 2pm - Crediton Diversity Festival on Crediton Town Square. Family-friendly event.

7pm for 7.30pm - Barn Dance at Sampford Courtenay Village Hall. Tickets £15 per person from 07811 324154. Sausage supper included
